I am bidding farewell...

Finally, the day has arrived. Today is my last day in da office. To tell you the truth, up until yesterday, I thought I imagined myself resigned from my post in this company. I still could not believe that I did that. But the reality has sunk in.

Yes, it feels like yesterday I joined this company. I was happy. Coz at last, I will be nearer to my hometown, Melaka. Living in Terengganu for 5 years does have its advantages but it fell short on the distances. It is about 400 km ok! Everytime I drove home, I felt that I cudn't go fast enuff (tho I drives at 160 km/h!) because there are still miles to go. At first I enjoyed the long distance driving but it wasn't the case when one of my family members passed away. Everything felt so slow.

2 years ago, I felt happy. I thought, well, I'm gonna be in this company for some time. I only know 2 people in this company the day I started here. Both are from my previous company. But by the end of the first month, I know almost everyone here and I felt that life is perfect here. I have many friends, whom are about the same age as me. We get along pretty fast. Maybe because all of us are still single. Our friendship goes beyond the wall of the office. We arrange activities together and the highlight is surely Bali trip last April.

Am I crying now? No. After 3 farewells, the fourth one should be smooth sailing. But I still feel sad. I like my department, the people I'm working with and the friends that I have. I am sure we will still be good friends. And I will be meeting new friends, new working environment in my new company. I know few people working there. Hopefully, we get along well.

There are few things to do. Handover briefing, appointment with HR and acknowledge evryone in this company that I'll be leaving them. I hope they will wish me luck. I do hope we get to work again in the future. Farewell DPS!! I wish you the very best...

Hmmm..sorry, I hv just realized ur comment today, january 8 2011. Yup, I left kerteh 3 years back. I think, during that time, when I was answering ur question, I was still in kerteh. then, I decided to leave the company in kerteh and join a kl company. Now, from the kl company, I hv also left it few months back, joinng another kl company.

Hi 'moon guy'! Nice hearing from u again...yeah it feels great to travel to places. However, the world has become a scary place. The earthquakes, tsunami, flood everywhere. That kinda dampen ur spirit to travel coz u kinda think where's next. U surely dun want to be in any of these disaster struck place. And to think that I almost urge my friend to travel to japan, instead of korea, does really give me goosebumps still.
But hey, live life to the fullest!
P/s: sumtimes, I missed life in kerteh...
