Water Rafting at Sg Slim River

We nearly could not make it to this trip. first, we were supposed to meet up at Sg Buloh R&R, but we took the wrong exit at PLUS and the road didn't converge at Sg Buloh. We were ahead. But somehow, the group leader, Reha asked us to meet them at Tg Malim exit. We waited for nearly half an hour and they came. Bout nearly 40 people, a lot of cars. When we met Reha, she told us to get ready to move. Once in the car, an uncle told us to wait and not follow any other group. Ok, we waited again. Till we didn't see any other cars ahead of us. We were being abandoned? I was confused. But someone told us to wait. But wait for whom? Maybe they didn't perasan us, I dun know. Called reha again and she was surprised that we were left behind. She gave the direction but still, we got lost here and there. We made it to Sg Slim nearly 2 hours later than everyone's else. and yes, we only knew the venue was changed from KKB to Sg Slim River when we got there. We were told that KKB's water is too shallow for the activity. It was frustrating, and we were mentally tiring. But we were up to it! the experience really worth everything we went thru before the expedition.

The entrance to Sg Slim.

Ni masa baru sampai..dah nak bersiap untuk terjun dah ni..posing depan keta yg macho…

Once being in the group, we were shipped to the rafting location with a pajero. A pajero is packed with more than 10 people. I think I'm the one suffered the most since I was sitting not on my a** but on my back bone. It hurts like hell. Luckily, it was not a very long journey. Once we got to the top, we were asked to pick our helmet, vest and pedal. An uncle (I dun know his name) then gave us a short briefing bout rafting, safety precaution, etc, etc…we were excited and couldn't wait to raft, and to tell u the truth, I couldn't even hear anything the uncle was saying coz there were so many people and concentrating is hard when there's water rushing down below.

The weather is fine that day. The water is in quite hi volume, running rapidly to the river end.

This is my teammates..Aiman, Izan, Me, Ida and Yeen…what a great team!

Posing on our lucky boat..the gud thing is, we never capsize the boat, however, all of us, were successfully thrown into the water, including our skipper, Seng…hehe..best woo masuk dalam air…kalau nak tengok how i got into the water..see here

Ni tgah break jap…minum dan makan duluuu..tgokla muka ku yg agak kelakar…

Bergambar lg sebelum masuk bot utk teruskan perjalanan…

More pix please…tenkiu skipper for taking our pix….masa nih macam nak ujan dah…actually, it rained quite heavily before we reach the end and I was quite worried they would ask us to stop since the water was really fast rising during the rain but thank god they didn't. the hi-volume of water actually made this trip more adventurous since the boat was moving very fast and we need to move fast too, if not, the boat will capsize. Move to the right, move to the left, front, back, paddle forward, paddle backward…..i could never forget all this commands.

After rafting..muka penat izan…

Yeay! We all made it!

It was everything I could imagine…adrenaline rush, check, beautiful scenery, check, fun teammates, double check!

Guys, let's do this again… (err…actually we already plan for KKB this april..anybody game for it?)
