Events for the last 7 days...

1* Birthday celebration at my office.

The food for the jamuan. Laksa and mihun goreng. Sedapnyerr...

The president of Kelab Ceria giving out speech, accompanied by all the lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen..

The celebrated people that day! Mat Ju and Liza. Semoga panjang umur dan di murahkan rezeki :))

2* Dining with friends at "Our House"
My first time dining here. The restaurant was very near my office, and I voiced out to my officemates bout my desire to lunch or dine there but no one seems interested to join me. At last, Bosh suggested to have dinner there.

I really like it there! So cozy, perfect for a date. But having two good friends dining with you there is as good as dating, or even better!

My good friends who light up my life in Kerteh. Life here would be meaningless without you guys.

The menu..err..only front cover..but inside it, full with list of delicious food. Fully recommended to all. Plus, "Mat Saleh" ramai makan kat sini, bole la cuci mata..hehehe..

We had claypot chicke, kangkung belacan and minced meat toufu. Memang sedap!! Puas hati laaa....

3* And lastly,...

This is one event I want to take part...oppsss...nak jadi tukang tengok je laa..kalau masuk bertanding sure kalah nyerr...ahaks...

Another weekend passed by. Right now, all I'm telling u guys is about my weekend..not much going on in my life...weekend je yg happening (tu pun takder la happening maner pun, life in kerteh, whaddaya expect?

The last 2 days, Friday and Saturday, all I'm doing is lepak kat umah (di kerteh), tgok tv, makan and gaming! pretty buhsannn...but on sunday, back to work! on monday, may 19, another day off due to wesak day.

but good thing happen on monday. i had breakfast at hai peng (best coffee ever!) with my buddies (well, actually, one of them is my client from shell PD. I never met him but always on the phone with him, discussing our ongoing project. he seems more friendly when met face to face and i love it when there's no formalities. takde la rasa nak being nice sgt dengan dia skrg nih..okla tuhh...)

later that evening, had picnic with my friends again, well, minus the PD client since he's off to PD again.

Travelling weekend...

My back still aches!

I had a 2-day course at Concorde hotel last week. Initially, I thot that driving to KL is not a good idea, knowing my fear driving at Karak hi-way and also the jam-packed KL area. But I'd love to challenge myself! Why didn't I try?

So I drove there. I've conquered Karak! But once I reached Concorde and park my car there, I never took it out till the day I went back to Melaka. LRTs are much faster to travel within KL city. If I could stay longer, surely my activity over the weekend will be in KL area only but I've got a wedding to attend. My first time also driving to JB! I'm ecstatic!

My bed at Concorde. The never-wanna-wake-up bed is surely something to remember. It feels soo good if I can come again. The food there is surely the best of all the hotels in Malaysia!

My meal at Pavillion. If I'm not mistaken, the place is called Rain Nuddle, a thai eatery place. The food is so good! By now, I'm quite familiar with the Pavillion area since I've been there for quite a number of times with a friend who has a penchant for expensive things, which is sooo not me! Setakat makan je kat situ, bole laa...

This is actually inside an elevator. Each level is named, instead of just numbers. Creative and unforgettable. But it's kinda confusing coz when I asked the receptionist, he kept mentioning the name of the level, instead of numbers. Macam la kitorang ni selalu g sana!! Oppss..this is not at Pavillion. I can't remember the name of this shopping complex.

Me and my cousin! This is actually taken at my other cousin's wedding. I've yet to upload the pictures of that event. Nnt la when I have the time. But the wedding was meriah. Driving to JB pun not bad but I have to get used to all the signboards (just like KL). Since we are already in JB, my uncle decided to be the tourist guide and brought us to all the interesting places in JB. Tp takde la byak pun interesting places. We went to Setulang and Danga Bay. Nothing much to be seen. I think Melaka is much more lively, but hey, that's my opinion. Others might differ.

The most boring weekend of my life.....

1st May, off, 2nd may, off, 3rd may, off....where was i? at home in kerteh, sleeping, makan....oh, yes...i was also down with hi-fever, bad cough and flue...alone in the house...it was frustrating..and lonely, yes....why didn't i go back to melaka? well, on this coming tuesday, i'll be having 2 day course in KL and i plan to go back to melaka after that and enjoy 4 days off at my parents house. my cousin is getting married on may 10.

i shud blame my cousin to all my misery during these 3 horrible days, for getting married on may 10 instead of 2nd or 3rd may. but it's her choice. she doesn't want to get married on the day that she knew many people will choose coz she's a lil afraid that not many people will come to her wedding. so much drama! but she could be right, i dunno...thinking back, if i were to go home the last 3 days, i don't think i can make it due to my condition.

the funny thing is, i rarely get sick on weekday. whenever i have fever, it's always during the weekend, making it invalid to claim MC. during weekday, i'm fine, back to my normal shape. darn! something is wrong with the timing....

so, what did i do during those days? sleeping (long, long hours of sleep), watching tv, surfing (thanks to the free wi-fi, around my neighbourhood, i still dunno to whom it belongs, but a big thank you!), playing monopoly (me against the pc, i always choose to go against first timer, yet, i still loose, geramnyerrr...was i that stupid?) and lastly, and the most interesting..cooking!

hmm...it's a funny experience. yes, i cooked before..goreng-goreng, maggi, who haven't? so, this time, i'm challenging myself to cook masak asam pedas, the best dish from my mom. i always saw her doing it, and maybe i can do it too, so i thot..after carefully choosing the ingredients, with sheer determination, my masak asam pedas was finally ready. the taste? great! i was proud, but.....

see this pix of my masak asam pedas. do you think it's similar to any ordinary asam pedas? i thot so..but it tasted just like tomyam!! gosh! this is like totally different...so, i called my mom asking her right ingredients..she was kinda surprised when i asked. well, at first i didn't want to tell her, for fear i will be the laughingstock of my family. I never cook at home, so it will be ridiculuos for them if i start cooking now. But how can i not tell my mom? yes, all my siblings has a good laugh. but my mom told me anyway what was missing. few ingredients that i thot not important is actually the one making asam pedas. arghh...maybe i shud just stick to my expertise in goreng2....
