So, now, it's time to do some research on the place, where to stay, what to bring there, cash (well, AUD is 3x RM, kopaksss) and most importantly, sunblock!!

I just can't wait, guys!! It will be trip of a lifetime!

Few days ago, a friend of mine told me about our uni friend got married over the weekend. Well, that shudn't surprise me or anyone else but the person she's marrying is the center of the talk. He's a foreigner, a Turkmen. Well, maybe it's nothing but heck, it caused quite a stir that day. I was not talking bout the wedding. I guess it must've gone smooth sailing.

This girl is really good with the foreign students back then, during our uni days. My college has quite significant numbers of foreigners: Turkmen, Viatnamese, Sudanese and South Africans. When I first started my study there, our batch is the first receiving foreign students. The first group was few Turkmen and South Africans. The Turkmen are like the Europeans, tall, white, blue-eyes. Of course, all the girls are falling head over heels over them. But being true "melayu", of course we didn't go and flirt openly with them. Well, she didn't either. But she's so good with them. She treated them like one of her own or maybe..lebih sket kot...hehe..we called her our own foreign minister, she was kind of bridging the gap between us and the foreign students.

But now, she's marrying one of them. Hmm.. good for her! All her practises during uni days paid off! Wow, she must've been dreaming bout her babies now coz they will be darn cute! If you're reading this, post your wedding pix k!

L: Change the world

When you least expected it, you got it...well, at least that what happens to my wish to watch "L: Change the world".

My good friend invited me to go to Kuantan last nite with his buddy. I was reluctant at first. I need to go to a site visit the day after..penat laaa..but later changed my mind. I never thot that I would be rewarded with a visit to GSC watching my much awaited movie, L. I was glad I made the decision to go with them.

It's a japanese movie and it is a spin-off film of the Death Note movie series. The series is based on the manga Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. (source: Wikipedia). I've seen Deathnote 1 and Deathnote 2. I really love those movies and of course, watching the third installment is really a bonus!

It's bout an agent, L, spending the last 23 days of his life. It's a continuation from Deathnote 2, in which he wrote his name in the Deathnote. Whoever name was written in the book will die. Why, you ask? Hmm..just google it. But I really like this movie better than 1 and 2. Coz he's more human in this one.

Well, it's a good movie, time well spent on this one!

P/S: Yeah, I was a bit late to site visit the next morning..reached home at bout 230am..still sleepy now...

His Bright Light: The Story of Nick Traina

I just can't stop myself...once I read the first page, I was glued to it and was deeply moved...

This is the picture of Nick Traina, the handsome and dashing son of Danielle Steel. He has bipolar disorder. It wasn't called a disease 20 years back. You thot that whoever has this illness is someone mean and hyperactive. Nope..it is a disease that need to be cured. Nick Traina has been undergoing the treatment for years under strict observation of his mom and her assistants. He was always in her care, yet, one day, without anyone observing him for few hours, he took it too far (drug overdose) and died. He was not taking drug becoz he's addicted to it, but it's a deviation from his depression. He has chemical inbalance in his body that triggers the mood swing. He is sad one moment and happy the next. He has no control over his actions and do things to the extreme. If he feels like surfing in the storm, he'll do it. You just couldn't say no to him.

But as you read along, you will realize the depth of his mother's love towards him. However difficult his being, his mother can always tolerate him. Danielle Steel is indeed a remarkable woman. It makes me wonder, can we be that tough? But again, it just proves the power of mother's love, which knows no boundary. We thot her life is a fairy tale, but this book certainly tells you a different story, that she is after all, only a human being.
